Happy Valentine's Day!!!

We had a great day today! It started off with Robyn & LoriAnne getting their hair done in a heart shape (yes, my OCD problem with hair is getting worse). It was my first attempt at making hearts with hair so not perfect but they loved them.
Then my sisters family came over and visited. Carly & Emily stayed with us so they could spend the weekend here.
Three of the neighbor kids came over in the afternoon and we decorated valentine cookies. Then all 9 kids made heart shaped pizzas for dinner. I made the pizza crust the night before and I cut the pepperoni in heart shape the night before too. The kids had a great time together.

I french braided Robyn's hair into a heart shape.

Since LoriAnne's hair is still growing out from her chopping it off, I used rubber bands to make the heart shape.

The kids really got into the cookie decorating. I should have taken a picture of their finished products. This kept them occupied for a long time. I enjoyed watching them decorate their cookies.

LoriAnne was funny she just wanted to put pink frosting on with M&M's. She made it fast because all she wanted to do was eat it. She has an awful sweet tooth.

I did not get any really good pictures of the pizza's but this picture isn't too bad. I also had cut out the kids initials of their first name so after the pizzas were done we would know which pizza belonged to which kid.

Mikey enjoying his pizza. The pizza looks almost as big as him :)

Miss LoriAnne

LoriAnne had a Valentine's party at school. While she was going through her stuff she received she asked me if I wanted to take her picture for the blog :) What a funny girl! I am so glad that she reminds me to take pictures and to blog about things.

Play Time @ the Mall

I took the boys to the mall to play while the girls were at school. They had a good time. It was nice getting out of the house with them.

Adoption Update

I will try to explain this update without confusing everyone. I am not always the best writer.
The boys mom has fought the Termination of Parental Rights for as long as she could by petitioning as many times as she legally could for them. After the Termination of Parental Rights finally happended in August she petitioned again. In this petition she stated (actually her lawyer had her do this) that the claim that Jonathan's dad was Indian (supposedly belongs to the Sasquatch tribe :) was not done properly. What has to happen is that all 15 tribes have to be sent letters (and the letters need to be returned) to verify whether the supposed father belongs to one of these tribes. The social worker received 9 of the 15 letters back. So since they were not all received back the mom wanted the Termination of Parental Rights reversed.
We just got word about a week ago that the attorney's agreed on a settlement without it going to court. So they did a partial reversal of Termination of Parental rights. This means that we do not have to start from GROUND 0. All that has to be done is the 6 remaining tribes have to be sent letters again and once they get them back then we can go forward with the adoption.
The frustrating part is they have never been able to locate Jonathan's supposed father. So who knows if someone by that name actually exists. However, it is law that ALL tribes must be notified no matter what. So we will leave it in the Lord's hands. I am praying for a miracle. I am hoping their adoption is done this year. It is possible this can drag things out until next year.

My sweet boys! They bring so much happiness to our home!

Mikey Update

There has been allot going on at our house. I am not sure who I updated what on. So I am going to put some updates on the blog. Mikey is doing great! He started at Franklin Elementary in the pre-k special ed class in January. I LOVE his teacher. He is really enjoying it. He received Occupational Therapy 2 times a week and will be starting physical therapy soon.
Mikey's pediatrician recently had a bone age scan done on him since he is so little for his age. It was possible that he is just going to be petitie. Well we got the results back and his bone age is that of an 18 month old. So we are going to see a Pediatric Endocrinologist in a few weeks. We feel so blessed to be here in Tennessee where we have received so much assisitance with Mikey. We have seen so much progress in Mikey since we moved here a year ago. When we knew we were to move here we did not realize how much of a blessing it would really be for our family.

We love you Mikey!!!!

Our 2 Sunbeams

I finally got a picture of my 2 Sunbeams together. LoriAnne and Michael moved up to the 3 year old Sunbeam class at church back in January. For many reasons I did not get a picture of them until today to finally post on the blog. Aren't they cute?! I love these kids!!!

LoriAnne & Emily...what are they up too????

Emily (my sister's 3 year old daughter) spent the night Tuesday night. While LoriAnne and Emily were off playing so quietly this is really what they were doing :)

Yes, they got a hold of my camera and were taking pictures of each other and LOTS of other things. Funny girls! They really do play well together and this is the first time they got a hold of the camera while playing together. At least they were enjoying themselves, right?!
