While Dave is Away...Amy Goes Out to Play :)

Many of you know that Dave was able to go to California for Chris de la Torres mission farewell because you saw him :) We all would of loved to have been there. So instead I stayed home with the 4 kids. Since my sister now lives only 25 miles away I was able to go play with her on Saturday. We took our kids to the Discovery Center Children's Museum. It was so much fun. I love hanging out with my sister and these 7 kids. Although we missed Dave and missed ALL of our friends in California we made the best of what we had :) I can't wait to be able to go back and visit all you guys in California!

A Haircut For Jason

I was at my sisters house and she asked if I would cut Jason's hair. By coincidence I had my haircutting supplies in my Sequioa. So we turned this cute baby boy into an adorable toddler.

Before

and After. It will take time to get use to it. He looks so much older now.

My Turn To Teach "Joy School"

I really enjoy teaching preschool age children. I always look forward to when it is my tearn to teach Joy School each month. For the month of January we talked about setting goals. I made some pictures of different things the kids could do to help out around the house. The kids colored them and then we folded them and put them in the boxes they decorated (they are pictured below). The kids took their boxes home and they pulled out one paper a day for a week and got to do that "goal" for that day.

I initially planned on them decorating the entire box. But it took much longer then I expected it too just to decorate the lid. The kids all seem to really enjoy this project.

Play Time with My Boys

Tuesday and Thursdays I have my time with just the boys. It has been fun spending time with them. I took this picture of the 2 of them while we were playing cars.
When I found out that Mikey was going to be going to school on Wednesdays and Fridays I was dissapointed that LoriAnne would not be home when Mikey was home. Although I know they miss eachother I think it has been working out really well. It has also given me more quality time with each of them.

Fun Day with Cousins!

Last week (yes another entry I am behind on :) my sisters girls spent the night at our house and Michael spent the night with my sister. Then the next day I tool Robyn, LoriAnne, Carly, Emily, & Jonathan to the Discovery Museum. They had sooooo much fun.

Aren't these 2 of the cutest shoppers you have seen!

LoriAnne & Emily taking charge of driving the train!

You would never know that this kid has his own train table at home. You can't get Jonathan away form this table at the museum.
These girls are so cute! I am so glad they live so close now!!!! Carly and Emily even like me to do their hair. They should have been my daughters. We had fun painting finger nails and doing their hair when they spent the night.

Yahoo! My sister has moved here!!!!

My sister and her family moved to Murfreesboro, Tn. So she lives 25 miles from me now! My kids are loving having there cousins close by again. We have not seen my sister and her family since we moved here last February. Becky moved here December 21st but since we had the flu the entire week of Christmas we did not get to see them until December 27th. It was worth the wait. The kids had so much fun playing together.

Jonathan (2yrs old), Jason (14 months), Robyn (5 yrs), Carly (6 yrs), Emily (3yrs), Mikey (3yrs), LoriAnne (3yrs)

Carly & Robyn....so fun to have cousins around

Emily & LoriAnne were 2 yrs old the last time they saw each other. These 2 have been having a great time playing together.
It is wonderful having more family close by!

Michael Turned 3!

Mikey turned 3 on December 19th. As you can see I am WAAAAAYYYYY behind on my blogging.
This little guy has come along way over the last 2 years. Mikey loves to help me do things. He will do anything I ask him to do. He is such a sweet kid. Mikey started school at Franklin Elementary 2 days a week. I am trying to adjust to him being gone so much. He seems to really be enjoying his class. He also will receive occupational therapy there too. Mikey repeats phrases he hears other people say. One of the things Mikey has heard me say to him and his siblings is "you did a great job". So Mikey likes to tell me all the time that I did a great job after just about everything I do. Such a funny kid!
We love you Mikey!!!!
