Christmas

Well this year I did not get any pics of the kids. I was laying on the couch in between running to the bathroom because I still had the stomach flu. Dave was not feeling well either. So we spent the day doing nothing except watch the kids enjoy their gifts. I guess one way to get out of baking and cooking Christmas dinner is getting the flu. The kids seem to have a great day and did not seemed to be phased by the lack of "Christmas Festivities" going on in our home. Next year will be better :)

I will be back in a couple days :)

Is anyone wondering where we are ? We have all had very bad colds and then over the weekend we all started getting the stomach flu. So I have been busy washing....washing....and washing! Also I have been very grateful to have a washer and dryer in my home this flu season. We are still on the mend and I don't have much energy. So I will try to post more blog entries by the end of the week.
Merry Christmas!!!!

Time to play catch up

I just did approx. 5-6 new blog entries. I dated them on that dates they actually happened so it goes all the way back to Friday Dec 12th. The pictures are not very good but one of my children has decided to take on photography and messed with some settings on my camera. I did not know about it until I uploaded all the photos and found ALLOT of pictures that were not taken by Dave or myself. Then I realized that the pics I took did not look good. Children will sure keep you on your toes :)

LoriAnne's Preschool Christmas Program

Today was LoriAnne's Preschool Christmas Program. There is something about little children that just make this holiday season so special. I love this time of year!

Nahville Ballet - NUTCRACKER

We were fortunate enough to get free tickets from our Foster Association to attend the Nashville Ballet's Nutcracker. It was AWESOME and the girls LOVED it!!!! The boys stayed home with daddy. It was a wonderful girls night out!

This picture was taken after it was over. LoriAnne and Robyn were so tired. I was lucky to get this picture. I have seen the Nutcracker before and remembered it being amazing. I can not wait to see it again next year with the girls. We may have to make it a Christmas Tradition :)

Robyn's School Christmas Program

Robyn did great at her School Christmas Program. She loves being in front of people and performing. You could tell that she was really enjoying herself. Good Job Robyn!!!!

They also had Santa come after the Kindergartners finished singing. So I had to get the 3 little ones pictures with him again. To my surprise Jonathan actually did not mind sitting on his lap.

Happy Birthday Brooke!!!!!

Foster Association Christmas Party

We had a great time at our Foster Association Christmas Party. Brentwood High School Sponsored it. The teenagers did a great job with the children. They had face painting, games, skits, food, Santa Claus, presents, etc.

Robyn told Santa she wanted High School Musical & Hanah Montana dolls. Lets see if Santa is good to her this year.

LoriAnne asked Santa for 2 babies. She has lots of dolls but a girl can never have too many.

Mikey wouldn't talk to Santa. But at least we got a picture of him on Santa's lap.

Now Jonathan is AFRAID of anybody dressed up. So I knew he would be afraid of Santa. He started screaming as soon as Santa walked into the room. I told Dave and the other photographer there that as soon as they were ready to take the picture I was going to run and put Jonathan on Santa's lap and they needed to snap the picture before he realizes what I did to him. I think this picture actually came out cute with him looking at Santa.

Ward Christmas Party

Everyone seemed to enjoy the Ward Christmas Party/Dinner. Since I was on the committee I did not get many pictures of the evening. The boys stayed home with a babysitter. The activity did not start until 6:30 and since that is the boys bed time I figured it would be easier to have them at home and in bed. The girls had a great time. The below picture is a picture of the primary kids singing some Christmas songs.

The "Best Deal" of the Season

I have been wanting to buy Christmas Stockings for years (why I don't know)... but I decided to wait until we purchased our home and have more children. So this year was the year to make the purchase. I saw these stockings at Cracker Barrel and wanted them. BUT I couldn't decide on if I really wanted them. So tonight while I was running errands I decided to stop at Cracker Barrell. AND I couldn't believe my eyes these stockings were on sale for $2.99. Yes, that is right $2.99. I can't even make stockings for that price. All I have to say is YA-HOOOO!!!!!! I am so excited. Merry Christmas to me (I mean to my family)! :)

I wanted different stockings for everyone. But I decided to save myself from the kids (girls) fighting over who got which one. So I got matching ones instead. (We will need a bigger mantel if we have more kids).

Family Night is Always Fun :)

We had a fun evening together as a family decorating the Christmas Tree. We have had the tree up for a week and we finally decorated it :) This is the first year that we have decorated for Christmas with the boys. Last year we had already packed everything up to move to Tennessee. Mikey really seemed to enjoy decorating while wearing the Santa hat.

"Joy School"

Today was my turn again to teach "Joy School". These four 3yr olds are allot of fun. We made these reindeer today. The kids loved tracing their hands and using them for the reindeer antlers. I think their favorite part was filling the reindeer with candy. We had a great time. I always thought it would be fun to teach preschool or kindergarten. So it is even better to be able to teach in my own home.
